EYFS curriculum

All early years settings follow the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’, a curriculum for the under 5s. It enables childcare professionals to make assessments on children’s development and identify any additional needs or determine if children are meeting their age related expectations. The guidance gives lots of ideas for particular activities within the 7 areas of learning. It is ideal to help with early intervention for those children who may need a little extra support or be further challenged if very gifted. We hold termly parents’ evenings, training workshops and use an online management software to share this knowledge with parents but we have included some useful documents below to give you a further insight into what we are looking for when we monitor and enhance your child’s development.
