Nursery Facilities

Sutherland Day Nursery is purpose built; therefore, all facilities are planned specifically with children in mind.

The Baby Suite has specially designated baby feeding, sleeping, nappy changing and potty training rooms, as well as a large play area subdivided into zones, according to activity and age.

Toddlers and pre-school children have big and very light play areas suitably zoned, low level toilets and a nappy changing/potty training room.

The furniture is safe and colourful and there are plenty of toys to stimulate imagination and creativity. Similarly, the outside play area is well equipped giving children different opportunities to interact with each other within secure parameters. It has been specially adapted to suit individual interests with a climbing frame, a sandpit, a 'grow your own garden' area and open space for little bikes. The area is segregated from the public by secure fencing, protected by controlled access and CCTV cameras, and includes a shaded area to protect children from the elements.

The building also includes a well equipped kitchen for the preparation of meals on site, a laundry, a cloakroom, a toilet for the disabled and a reception area. There is also a room for meeting parents and a staff room with additional facilities providing nursery nurses an opportunity to have a break in order to be refreshed, relaxed and dedicated to their work with children.

You are most welcome to arrange a visit to see the premises and to talk to us about your child.
